Brief overview of subjects
All students in Year 10 and 11 choose three options from the following creative subjects to go alongside the core subjects.
In Years 12 and 13 students then specialise in their chosen pathway; Studio Perform, Studio Music, or Studio Media.

Performing Arts
Step into the spotlight! This course mixes acting, musical theatre, and performance projects to give you the full stage experience. You’ll work on scenes, devise original shows, and learn from real industry practitioners. If you’ve ever dreamed of being on stage or screen, this is where it starts.
Dance
From hip hop to contemporary, this course is about movement, expression, and energy. You’ll take part in high-energy technique classes, choreograph your own routines and perform to live audiences. It’s your chance to train like a professional dancer while building confidence, creativity, and stage presence.
Photography
If you’re the one always capturing moments, this course will turn your eye for detail into real creative skill. You’ll learn how to shoot, edit, and create powerful images, from fashion shoots to urban landscapes. Build your own portfolio and develop your unique style while working with professional-level equipment.
Art
Create art that makes people stop and look! You’ll experiment with painting, digital design, textiles, 3D work, and more. You’ll also respond to real-world briefs, just like creative professionals do, and finish with a portfolio that shows off your talent.
Media (Broadcast)
This is your chance to create the kind of content people actually tune in to. From TV and radio to live streaming and podcasts, you’ll plan, present, and produce your own broadcasts. You’ll learn how to script, direct, and edit, building the skills to be the next voice or face people hear on air.
Media (Interactive Digital)
Into gaming, apps, and digital design? This course is your chance to create interactive media that people actually want to use. From websites to games and online magazines, you’ll storyboard, script, and design using industry-standard tools, turning your ideas into something real.
Film Studies
Love movies? This course lets you explore film like never before. You’ll watch, analyse, and discuss everything from Hollywood blockbusters to indie hits. Then you’ll step behind the camera yourself, writing scripts, storyboarding, filming and editing your own productions.
Music Performance
Love being on stage? This course is all about unleashing your inner performer. You’ll spend your time rehearsing, gigging, and exploring the music that inspires today’s artists. Whether you’re into rock, rap, or R&B, you’ll sharpen your skills, perform live, and get a taste of what it’s really like to be a professional musician.
Music Technology
If you’re fascinated by how tracks are produced, this course puts you in the studio. You’ll work with digital audio workstations, record live sessions, mix and edit tracks, and even compose your own music. Think of it as your backstage pass into the world of music production.
